Pet Food Bank Serving Southeast Louisiana

We Provide Pet food, That Your Pet Deserves!

PET FOOD BANK
Keeping Families Together

Although we successfully unite thousands of animals with new families each year, our goal is always to keep pets in loving homes that they may have already found. Rescue Alliance Pet Food Bank supplies members of our local community with food for hungry pets, assisting families that have fallen on hard times and are struggling to keep their families intact.

RESCUE ALLIANCE

PET FOOD BANK

Collects and distributes pet food donations for pets belonging to low-income seniors, veterans, families in crisis, and any community members in need.

To Offer You Help

Donations to Rescue Alliance Pet Food Bank are urgently needed. As families struggle with the loss of jobs and other sources of income, your help can make an enormous difference by sparing children, parents, and family pets the heartache of separation. Additionally keeping animals in their homes and out of a shelter avoids putting additional stress on our limited resources.

We welcome donations for household animals from pet food to cat litter and puppy pads.If you would like to support the program please make a secure donation.

Testimonials

Rescue Alliance Pet Food Bank

This program feeds more than 2,000 pets every month with pet food being distributed and delivered by volunteers. The Pet Food Bank keeps people and pets together and ensures that people who love their animal companions don't have to choose between feeding their pets and feeding themselves.

Proud Sponsors

We provide pet food at no cost to pet owners who are struggling financially and cannot afford to feed their pets.

Rescue Alliance Pet Food Pantry is here to help people and families who are unable to feed their pets. This program is designed to fill the void in the nation’s current assistance programs that exclude the purchase of food and supplies for family pets.

One in four pet owners who give up their pets to a shelter say it is because they cannot afford to care for them. By providing temporary pet food assistance, the pet stays in their loving home and out of the shelter.

The Pet Food Pantry provides free pet food to pet owners who cannot afford to feed their pets in Louisiana, thanks to donations from our community.

Who benefits from the Pet Pantry?

Many people will feed their pets before they feed themselves. Our goal is to provide food for their pets while helping keep food on the table for the owners.

We help people who are:

  • Of all ages, races and marital status
  • Unemployed or underemployed
  • Retired, living on social security or other limited income
  • Physically or mentally disabled
  • Experiencing homelessness or housing instability

We exist because of the generous support of companies and individuals who care about animals and the love and joy they bring to us all. If you are lucky enough to have a dog or cat for a friend and companion, then you understand how important animals are.

Your donation will help keep people and their pets together, preventing the hunger, suffering, abandonment, surrender and loss of the animals they love.

The Rescue Alliance Fund is a nationally recognized and volunteer driven 501(c)(3) non-profit public charity. Our tax identification number is 83-4560359.
